FDH — Defrost Resistance Issue (Alternate Code)

Same as dH: the defrost sensor temperature did not rise more than 5°C within 80 minutes, indicating a defrost system fault.
Common causes
- Defrost heater (resistor) is broken
- Thermal fuse is blown
- Heating relay malfunction
- Drain is clogged
How to fix it
- Inspect and test the defrost heater
- Check and replace the thermal fuse if blown
- Test heating relays for proper operation
- Clear any blockage in the defrost drain
- Contact LG Customer Support for service
