D80 — Restricted Airflow Error

Airflow is restricted somewhere between the dryer and the exterior exhaust. Vent cleaning is likely needed.
Common causes
- Clogged lint filter
- Crushed, kinked, or holed exhaust hose
- Blocked exterior exhaust flappers or mesh
- Lint buildup in wall ducts
How to fix it
- Clean lint filter and reduce load size
- Inspect exhaust hose behind dryer for kinks, crushes, or holes
- Check exterior exhaust flappers open fully and clear visible lint
- Contact a professional duct cleaner if internal steps fail
- Ask duct cleaner for total vent length and number of 90-degree bends
