E21 — Drain Error

The washing machine cannot drain the water from the wash cycle. Usually caused by a kinked hose or clogged drain pump filter.
Common causes
- Kinked or clogged drain hose
- Clogged drain pump filter
- Excessive suds creating air pockets that prevent effective draining
How to fix it
- Check drain hose at rear of washer for kinks or blockages and straighten
- Run a spin-only cycle on high speed to test if drain pump motor is working (listen for hum)
- Clean the drain pump filter, removing all debris
- Run a tub clean cycle and reduce detergent amount if suds are suspected
- If error persists after all steps, schedule a repair service
